Obama or McCain?


I wrote about Obama and Hillary a few months ago, stating that I prefer Hillary over Obama for many obvious reasons, at least to me. Today, I am stuck with a situation where I can’t find any of the candidates worthy of electing at all.

Obama does not impress me. Not in the least bit, and his rhetoric is very cheesy and “slogish” , but empty of experience, and lacks records that can prove what he is saying he wants to achieve.

Many of us don’t like Bush’s Politics, but McCain is not Bush, neither did he cause all this chaos in the world, rather ..He – at times – stood against his own party to make his point and speak up his own mind even though he put himself in a position where he could have lost some republican voting blocks around the states.

I don’t like many things in McCain’s agenda, simply because I am not as conservative as he is. Yet ..I do have some conservative points of views that perhaps match his own views or politics.

I am sure he is more capable, more experienced, more qualified, and more knowledgeable about politics, military, ecomnomy..etc. His records, and his many decades of experience proves that.

Obama was “hyped” in a very strange way; he actually came out of no where and became an iconic character only in a few years. He was actually “made” in a few years, which amazes me how media can furnish something to look so good, exactly the way media did to pave the way to convincing Americans that Iraq war is in their best interest.

McCain is linked to Bush , this is so unfair to him, and Bush’s politics hurt him so much, and his affiliation with the Republican party caused many undecided voters to go away and either vote for Obama, or at least not vote for McCain if any thing.

To be an American of Middle eastern origins, might make you think that I will definitely vote for Obama, since the Republican party screwed up big time on middle east politics , thus the natural response for me is to vote for the “other” party . But it is not that simple, because politics are not black and white, or “with me or against me “kind of thing.

Hillary was the one I can honestly trust. But since she is not the democratic candidate any more , with all her experience, credibility, connections, understanding, way of thinking, “middle ness” , and many other things that make me trust her presidency, I will have to take a stand , and be honest with my self before any thing else. I can’t vote for Obama, and I am not going to follow the ethnic or religious flood of emotions that will obviously lead many minority groups to the support of Obama. Although I have democratic leanings, and I don’t like the Republican Party at all, I will have to say Obama is not my choice just because he is the democratic candidate.

McCain is better than Obama in my own opinion, although I disagree with him on many issues, but I still hate the lies and the hype that made Obama the man of the century , to the extent that some think he is not lobbying big businesses like any one else.

Obama or McCain? I will not vote for both.

Again, there is nothing personal against Obama, I just don’t trust his presidency, as much as I never trusted Bush’s presidency before.

In politics, you don’t need a cowboy, or a rock star ….you only need an expert ….on politics with a decent agenda.
